Turkish painter wins gold medal in Beijing Olympics
2008 Beijing Olympics Fine Arts Committee awarded the painting of Turkish painter Elif Cimen with gold medal.

Cimen, with her painting "Circles & Cycles", won gold medal as well as a certificate by International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge.
Cimen's painting will be exhibited at Beijing Culture Hall and Forbidden City till the end of September.
Painter Cimen is assistant professor at Balikesir University.
