"For years I have run forwards but I achieved success in running backwards. They called me 'Turkish Usain Bolt' back there in Italy," Aslan told the A.A.
Aslan said that he had been training for two years and that he used to run marathon before retro running.
"Backward running needs a great deal of experience in running forwards. For the last two years, I have spent all my time training for the championship. I even broke up with my girl friend," Aslan said.
