President Mehmet Ali Talat of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias had more than two hours of meeting at the buffer zone in the island.
This was the 10th meeting of the two leaders.
Talat and Christofias debated federal judiciary, federal crimes and federal police in their meeting, and Talat expressed Turkish Cypriot side's view that Christofias' remarks were harming the negotiation process.
Taye-Brook Zerihoun, the special representative of the United Nations (UN) Secretary General in Cyprus, told reporters after the meeting that the two leaders agreed on almost all issues concerning federal crimes.
Zerihoun said that the leaders also agreed on some issues related with federal police, and they would discuss the issue again in their upcoming meeting.
Talat and Christofias will meet again on December 2 and discuss federal public administration, public committee and foreign relations.
The full-fledged talks were launched on September 11. In their previous eight meetings, the leaders discussed administration and share of power. They first handled authorities and then negotiated federal administration.
In their ninth meeting on November 17, Talat and Christofias discussed judiciary.
