Turkish State Minister Nimet Cubukcu said women have played a centric role in expression of intercultural difference since the beginning of modern era.

"Women function as a symbolic and cultural ground and communities put their moral order on this ground," Cubukcu said.

Literature brought together different cultures on a common point, she said.

"Literature has cultural characteristics. However, we can also acquire information about common humankind experiences through literature," Cubukcu said.

Turkey and Germany had deep-rooted political, cultural and friendly ties and the two countries should exert efforts to boost the dialogue, she stated.
