Turkish State Minister Mustafa Said Yazicioglu attended a traditional festival of Turks living in Macedonia's Radovish city on Saturday.
Sunday, 24 August 2008 11:45

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Yazicioglu said that it was important to pass traditions to new generations, and that Turks living in Macedonia had done that task very well.

There are nearly 78 thousand Turks in Macedonia, who live in the municipalities of Centar Zupa and Plasnica (in which they form the majority of population), and also much smaller numbers in the cities of Bitola, Gostivar, Tetovo, and Resen.

Turkish groups in the region live in accordance with the administrational structure of the country.
