Turkey's unemployment rate becomes 9.8 percent
Turkey's unemployment rate became 9.8 percent as of September 2008, Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) said on Monday.

Unemployment rate was 9.2 percent in the same period previous year.
According to the TUIK's Household Labor Force Survey for July, August and September 2008, labor force participation rate was calculated as 49.8 percent.
Unemployment rate became 12 percent in urban areas and 6.3 percent in rural areas.
