The Turkish team will play their fourth qualifier with Ukraine on Thursday. The 36th European Basketball Championship will take place in Poland in September 2009.

"We want to win this match and guarantee our leadership in the group," Harun Erdenay, the manager of the team, told reporters before they flew to the Ukrainian capital of Kiev.

Turkey, playing in the Group (C), won the first three matches and are actually the leaders in the group.

Turkish national basketball team defeated Ukraine 86-73 in a home match on September 3rd. Later they defeated Belgium 78-63 in an away match on September 6th, and they beat France 77-65 in a home match on September 10th.

Turkey will take on Belgium in a home match on September 17th and France in an away match on September 20th.
