Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler, who is currently in Denmark as the official guest of Danish Climate & Energy Minister Connie Hedegaard, met officials from the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) and the Danish Confederation of Industry. He later visited some power stations and wind energy areas.

Guler and Hedegaard signed a memorandum of understanding envisaging cooperation between Turkey and Denmark in renewable energy resources, energy productivity, oil and natural gas.

"Denmark makes 40 percent of world's turbine production on its own. Sea and wind turbines are widely used this country. Denmark is the third country behind Japan and Germany using energy in the most productive way. I invited Danish businessmen to invest in construction of wind turbine in Turkey," Guler said.

Guler and the accompanying delegation are expected to return to Turkey later on Wednesday.
