Turkey's President Gul due to Kazakhstan
Turkey's President Abdullah Gul will travel to Kazakhstan on Friday to attend celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of Kazakh capital Astana, the officials said on Wednesday.

Gul will pay a visit to this country upon invitation by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and participate in activities to mark the anniversary of Astana which will take place on July 5th and 6th.
Besides Turkey's President Gul, Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will also attend celebrations.
President Gul is expected to hold bilateral talks with his counterparts during his visit to Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan moved its capital from Almaty to Astana in 1997 due to geographical reasons. Ceremonies took place on June 10th, 1998 to formally introduce Astana as the Kazakh capital.
