Turkey's Auotomotive sector exports worth 11.3 billion$
Considered to be the engine of the economy, Turkish automotive sector's exports were worth 11.3 billion USD in the first five months of 2008.

Automotive sector's exports increased by 46.1 percent between January and May compared to last year's figures.
Turkey's automotive exports in 2008 surpassed the total amount of automotive exports in 2004 which were worth 10.7 billion USD.
Turkish automobiles were exported to 161 countries worldwide. Germany, France and Italy were the top three countries receiving most of Turkish automotive exports.
