Turkey to be paint producing center
Turkish paint sector has recorded a 200 percent increase in its exports in the past 10 years, an official from the sector said.

In an interview with the A.A correspondent, Murat Akyuz, chairperson of Istanbul Chemical and Chemical Products Exporters' Association, said Turkish paint industry had the production capacity of 850,000 tons a year and provided jobs to nearly 100,000 people.
"It ranked the 6th largest paint producer in Europe after a fast growth process. We expect that Turkey will probably become the 4th largest paint producer of EU in the coming years," he said.
Turkish paint industry which exported its products mainly to European countries and Russia aimed to rise its exports to 600 million USD in 2010, Akyuz stated.
