Ahead of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank's annual spring meetings, World Bank's Vice-President for Europe and Central Asia Region Shigeo Katsu replied to questions of reporters in Washington D.C.

Answering a question on a possible impact of the lawsuit filed for closing down of the ruling Justice & Development (AK) Party to the Turkish economy, Katsu said they have been monitoring developments on the matter and the Turkish market partially absorbed it.

Katsu said Turkey has a more resilient economy now.
