ERDOGAN: I'LL MAKE FINAL STATEMENT ABOUT IMF
Regarding a deal which is expected to be signed between Turkey and IMF, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on his return from India to Turkey, told reporters, "I have not received a certain information from my friends. I cannot talk without having information. I will listen to the ministers about the issue. Then, I will make the final statement."
YEREVAN OPTIMISTIC ABOUT HISTORIANS COMMITTEE PROPOSAL
Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian said that Yerevan was optimistic about Turkey's proposal to set up a joint committee of historians regarding 1915 incidents. Speaking to Zaman, Nalbandian noted the change in his country's stance and said, "do you think Turkey's attitude would have changed if we had not changed our stance?".

Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian, who arrived in Istanbul as the rotating president of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), gave positive messages regarding the relations between Turkey and Armenia.
Nalbandian said Armenian President Serzh Sargsian accepted President Abdullah Gul's invitation and he would come to Turkey to watch the World Cup qualifying group match next year.

Upon his arrival from India to Turkey, Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on the allegations claiming that "Turkey requested 30 billion USD from IMF, however, IMF would give 19 billion the most".
"These are nothing but rumours, I will make the final explanation on this issue," Erdogan said.

Vatan daily's columnist Aydin Ayaydin learned about the details of the government's "economic measures package" expected impatiently by the markets.
According to the package, an agreement will be reached with IMF soon. Officials are currently determining the amount of the required resources and where and how to use them. Some part of the resources to be received from IMF will be used in the real sector.

NALBANDIAN IN ISTANBUL
Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian, who came to Istanbul for a meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), called for the normalization of relations and opening of the border gate between Turkey and Armenia.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsian would visit Turkey in 2009, Nalbandian said and stated that Armenia "would not and could not" ask the Armenian lobby to give up its efforts for the acknowledgement of the Armenian allegations on the incidents of 1915.

The economy package submitted to the government comprises of specialization, incentives and long-term credit demands. The package, which also includes issues not related to the economic crisis, suggests that the IMF credits should be used to shrink current account deficit and debts of the private sector.

Turkish Justice Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin said that Abdullah Ocalan, head of the terrorist organization PKK, did not have the right to communicate with other prisoners as he did not display good conduct.

Turkish parliament will start debating another law on adjustment with EU standards starting from today. The new Trade Law, which will consist of 1535 articles, will regulate our lives in many aspects.
With the new law, consumption of food that will disturb other passengers will be prohibited in public transport vehicles, door-to-door or street sales will be qualified as "violent sales techniques" and will be punished, and babies will benefit from the health insurance of their parents without paying any additional premiums.

Six Turks, who went to the United States to attend a kickboxing tournament, were captured while entering Canada illegally. Agents of U.S. Immigration Service detained those six Turks, and they have been in a prison in Buffalo city near Canadian border for eight months.
