Turkey's Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey did not need loan desperately.
"The IMF (International Monetary Fund) may not give us loan in this troublesome period, and it does not have to. We do not need loan desperately," Erdogan told a joint press conference with Kyrgyz Prime Minister Igor Chudinov in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
Erdogan said Turkey was backing any IMF approach based on mutual interests and his government was not against the IMF.
"Turkey is a growing and developing country, and we are self-sufficient," Erdogan also said.
Erdogan said that Turkey would continue infrastructural works, and defined Turkey as a safe haven.
