Speaking to the AA, Schwab underlined that "Turkey is not merely successful in the economic sphere but also diplomacy."

As a secular and Muslim country, Turkey can establish relations with both the west and the east, Schwab stressed.

Turkey is a bridge from a geostrategic perspective, Schwab said.

Turkey is situated on the energy and commercial pathway between Europe and Asia, Schwab said.

Turkey made extremely important diplomatic initiatives in its region and greatly contributed to relations between Israel and Syria, Schwab said.

By establishing the Caucasus Stability and Cooperation Platform, Turkey contributed to the stability in the Caucasus, Schwab underscored.

The World Economic Forum's "Europe and Central Asia" meeting in Istanbul provides an opportunity to discuss the region's economy, politics and other relevant topics.

The Istanbul meeting is being attended by dozens of governmental dignitaries and experts.
