Turkey increases electricity fees
Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) approved Thursday electricity distribution companies' demand to increase electricity fees.

According to EPDK's decision, the price of electricity used in residences will be increased by 21 percent, while the price of electricity used in industry will rise 22 percent as of July 1st.
Previously, 20 electricity distributor companies of the Turkish Electricity Distribution Corporation (TEDAS) demanded that a new electricity tariff be prepared. EPDK officials agreed with the companies' demand during a meeting today.
