Turkey grows 6.6 percent in Q1
Turkey's statistics authority announced Monday the growth rate for Turkey's gross domestic product in the first quarter of 2008 as 6.6 percent.

According to data by Turkish Statistical Institution (TUIK), Turkey's gross domestic product in constant prices rose by 6.6 percent and reached 221.7 billion New Turkish liras (YTL) while gross domestic product in constant prices for the same period rose 17.5 percent to reach 24.2 billion YTL (one US dollar equals 1.22).
Turkey's growth rate in 2007 was announced as 4.5 percent.
