Turkish President Abdullah Gul and his visiting Swiss counterpart Pascal Couchepin attended the ceremony at a historical museum in Ankara along with other high level Turkish and foreign officials.

"We are attaching utmost importance to developing our relations with Switzerland in every field, and I believe that this visit will turn a new slate for relations between Turkey and Switzerland," Gul told reporters.
