"Three Monkeys" in Cannes Film Festival
Nuri Bilge Ceylan's latest film, "The Three Monkeys" will appear at the 61st International Cannes Film Festival

While the main producer of the film was Zeyno Film-Zeynep Ozbatur, the film is a French-Italian joint production. The film's scenario was written by Ebru Ceylan, Ercan Kesal and Nuri Bilge Ceylan.

Yavuz Bingol, Hatice Aslan, Ahmet Rifat Sungar and Ercan Kesal are starring in "the Three Monkeys" .

Among the Three Monkeys's competitors are Changeling (Clint Eastwood), The Palermo Shooting (Wim Wenders) and Adoration (Atom Egoyan).

Ceylan has been so far nominated three times for the "Golden Palm" prize.

The "Three Monkeys" displays a family's efforts to stay together and united despite great lies.

The Cannes Film Festival held for the first time in 1939, is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious movie festivals alongside Venice and Berlin. The private festival is held annually (usually in the month of May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres, in the resort town of Cannes, in the south of France.

The 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival will be held between May 14th and 25th, 2008.
