As a result of the long-term efforts of the Turkish entrepreneurs in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, the first Turkish football school is opened under the name "Baku Turkish Football School" (Bakı-Türk Futbol Məktəbi).

The General Manager of the school, Yusuf Uncular said " After a very long and tiring struggle against the procedures in the opening of the school, finally they managed to start the training in the first Turkish football school in Baku.


Millions of dollars

Uncular also said that together with a Turkish businessman they had spent more than a million dollar for the school.

The names of the world famous trainers as Mircea Lucescu, Ilie Datcu are in the list of the possible trainers of the football school. Mustafa Yilmaz has already been working as a trainer. For now there are more than 200 students having training in "Baku Turkish Football School".

Obstacles

In a part of the interview with him, the general manager of the school, Yusuf Uncular said to Timeturk that there had been so many obstacles by the Azeri authorities from time to time.Even if they hired a football field for training for 27 years from the Azerbaijan ministry of sports and paid the rent in advance, the authorities caused some troubles. Just after singing a contract and taking their money in advance, the Azeri authorities wanted to increase the amount of the rent agreed in the contract. Pointing out that many times he wrote letters to the Azerbaijan ministry of youth and sports regarding the injustice obstacles of the Azeri authorities before the opening of the school, Uncular said they are happy to serve in Baku after all these difficulties. 

"Baku Turkish Football School" is owned by a Turkish businessman, Mehmet Okur.
