The Turkish Airlines (THY) announced that it would receive bids from Boeing and Airbus companies to purchase more than 100 aircraft.

"THY Executive Board has decided to purchase 35 two-aisle and 70 single-aisle aircraft, and therefore will call Boeing and Airbus to submit bids," a THY statement sent to the Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB) said.

In its statement, the THY also said that it was considering choosing among 320, 330 and 350 models of Airbus and 737 NG, 777 and 787 models of Boeing.
