"Ottoman Garden" opened in United States
"Bakewell Ottoman Garden" was opened on Saturday in Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis city of the United States.

"Ottoman Garden" that reflects traditional Ottoman garden architectural culture includes fountains, bower, 9,000 exotic flowers and plants.

According to Turkish Culture Foundation, Bakewell family that gave the name of the Ottoman Garden has relationship with mother of II Mahmut, Naksidil Valide Sultan, a French origin woman.

Ted and Anderson Bakewell brothers wanted to realise will of their father Edward L. Bakewell to establish an Ottoman garden in the United States.

Turkish architect Fazil Sutcu, living in St. Louis also contributed to the efforts of Bakewell bothers.

Opened in 1859, Missouri Botanical Garden is the country's oldest and one of the world's top-rated botanical gardens.
