Investigators arrived Thursday morning at Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's Jerusalem residence to question the premier for the eighth time over corruption allegations, and for the first time since tending his resignation to President Shimon Peres ten days ago, following the Kadima primary.
Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said officers arrived at Olmert's official Jerusalem residence at 10.a.m. and questioned him for about two hours.
Thursday's interrogation was to focus on the Investment Center scandal and the Cremieux apartment case.
If investigators are satisfied with their progress, they will begin preparing to probe allegations of political appointments in the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry, where Olmert served before becoming prime minister.
Concluding the Morris Talansky and Rishontours cases, police investigators said there was sufficient evidence to recommend an indictment against the prime minister.
