In an interview with the A.A correspondent in southern province of Mersin, State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party adopted a development plan based on rising exports.
"We have especially focused on electronic, machine manufacturing and automotive sectors. Therefore important developments took place in exports consecutively," he stated.
"Turkey's exports amounted to 36 billion USD in 2002 and now we aim to reach 136 billion USD in the country's exports. It is not easy, but I believe we will succeed," Tuzmen said.
