Turkish military band "Mehter", Turkish oil wrestlers and several folk dance groups performed shows at the park that hosted also photograph and literature exhibitions and Turkish cuisine.

Several Turkish parliamentarians attended the festival this year together with U.S. officials such as Brooklyn Mayor Marty Markowitz.

Idris Naim Sahin, head of the Turkish delegation, said, "we saw that Turkish people living in 51 states of this country, have not forgotten their past, geography, culture and traditions."
