Turkey's Independent Industrialists' & Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) would host an international fair in Istanbul's CNR Expo Center on October 23-26 and bring together around 2,500 foreign investors, Saban Copuroglu, the chairman of the MUSIAD branch in the central city of Kayseri, told a press conference.
"We aim to make business deals worth 4 billion USD with these investors who will participate in the 12th MUSIAD International Fair," Copuroglu also said.
Copuroglu said that the association would also organize 12th International Business Forum in Istanbul on October 22-25 to boost cooperation and increase trade among Islam countries.
Both events will take place on the sidelines of the meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic & Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of the Islamic Conference. The 24th session of COMCEC will take place in Istanbul from October 20 to 24.
State Minister Kursad Tuzmen will inaugurate the fair, which will also be attended by 5,000 Turkish businessmen.
Founded in 1990, MUSIAD is a non-governmental organization that has grown to 26 branches and 2,000 members.
