Kuwait oil workers suspend strike plans
Oil workers at state refiner Kuwait National Petroleum Co (KNPC) on Sunday postponed a planned strike after the compnay said it would hold talks to discuss workers' demands, a union official said.

"The strike was temporary suspended for 8 weeks based on an initial agreement with KNPC management until we make sure they will execute our demands," said KNPC Labour Syndicate deputy chairman Mohammad Al Hamlan.
The workers are demanding better pay and promotions.
