The comments on the match between Turkey and Czech Republic in the news portals from Morocco to Egypt, from Palestine to Qatar are as if they are written by the pens of the Turkish citizens…

“Here is the soul to compete…”

“May it be blessed for Turkey…”

Certainly the team that has the most populated supporters in the tournament is the Turkish national team.

As Arabs determine "Mine'l-Muhit ile'l-Khalic", namely from the Atlas Ocean to the Basra Gulf, the entire Arab world supports us in the European Championships.

That is the annihilation of the well known but unreal judgement that Arabs do not love Turks…

The interest of the Arabs on the Turkish serials, their support on the Turkish national team in Euro 2008 and the animation of the economical relations between Turkey and the Arab world are not coincidence…

All these cannot only be explained by the quality of the Turkish serials,the football of the national team and the economical benefits.

A love and sympathy certainly lie beneath this interest.

Arabs love Turks.

Anyone who don't?

Of course there is.

The brainwashed Arab nationalists do not love.

 They see the Ottomans as intruders and imperialists.

Also there are those who admire west and hate everything related with Islam.

Actually when you have a look at the both parts those who do not love the other part,you see that they have common points.  

In Saudi Arabia there are thousands of people named “Turki”

In Arabic “Turki” means “Turk”…

Does anyone give his child the name of a nation that he hates?

Let's say some gave this name to his child..

Why do the contemporary people maintain to give the same name to their children?

Even if it is your father's name, do you give your child the name of a nation that you do not love?

Do you want your child's name to be “ American”, “ British”, “French”, “Armenian” or “Greek”

Of course you do not want!

There is no foolish slander as announcing the Arabs who give their children the name "Turki", Turk as “ Turk enemy”.

The interest of Arabs on Turkey must not be unreturned…

There will be “bald ibis” saying “do not give your money to Arabs”

But even if this minority, from time to time, voice themselves louder than everybody, it should not be an obstacle between the brotherhood and cooperation of the two societies…

One of the biggest lacks that the Turk-Arab relations could not reach to high level was the absence of the NGOs.

Today there is a nominee foundation to fill this gap.

The Foundation of Turk-Arab Science, Culture and Art located in Ankara…

It will be a bridge for the intemingle of the folks away from the formality and in a sincere way, it aims activities to bring the intellectuals of the both parts together and contribute on the Turk-Arab relations. 

The “ Syrian Literature Days” organization that will be hosted by Ankara between 28-29 June is one of these activities…

No doubt that the foundation of such an association is an important step for the Turk-Arab relations…

As a fellow of Arabs I wish success for the head of this association, Muhammed Al Adil and his friends in this good way they set off.
