Inflation in consumer prices 10.61 p.c. in June
According to 12-month average as of June, the annual inflation was 8.64 percent in consumer prices and 8.39 percent in producer prices.

Turkey's statistics board announced on Thursday that the annual inflation in consumer prices was 10.61 percent in June 2008.

According to the inflation figures made public by the Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK), the annual inflation was 17.03 percent in producer prices.

The consumer prices were down 0.36 percent, while producer prices were up 0.32 percent in June 2008, the board also said.

In the first half of 2008, the consumer prices were up 6 percent and the producer prices were up 13.76 percent.

According to 12-month average as of June, the annual inflation was 8.64 percent in consumer prices and 8.39 percent in producer prices.
