Mumin Uluc, chairman of the association, told the A.A correspondent on Monday that nearly 25,000 people, most of whom were German, attended the activities under the Cappadocia Culture Week in Essen during the last two days.

 
Uluc said they distributed brochures and CDs promoting historical and cultural attractions of Turkey and Cappadocia region to visitors.

Cappadocia is a famous and popular tourist destination, as it has unique geological, historic and cultural features, such as sedimentary rocks formed in lakes and streams, and ignimbrite deposits erupted from ancient volcanoes approximately 9 to 3 million years ago.
