European railway org to hold meeting in Istanbul
High-level officials from the railway organizations of Turkey, Romania, Greece, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia would attend the meeting, the statement said.

South-East Europe Railways Group (SERG) will hold a meeting in the Turkish province of Istanbul on June 12th.

The group would convene under the term presidency of Suleyman Karaman, Director General of Turkish State Railways (TCDD), a statement from TCDD said on Tuesday.

High-level officials from the railway organizations of Turkey, Romania, Greece, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia would attend the meeting, the statement said.

South-East Europe Railways Group (SERG) is a Special Group within the International Union of Railways (UIC), established in July of 1989, in Belgrade.

The group aims at the development of railway transport in the southeast Europe and improvement of railway connections with other parts of European and Asian transport markets.
