Speaking while receiving the Czech delegation, Deputy Chairman of the TOBB Faik Yavuz said that the trade volume between Turkey and the Czech Republic must be increased as these two countries have close and friendly relations.

I think that we have important opportunities to boost commercial relations between Turkey and the Czech Republic, Yavuz said.

There are diverse areas in which the businessmen of our two countries can cooperate in, Yavuz stressed.

"Czech businessmen can cooperate with their Turkish counterparts in various projects, including infrastructure projects, railway lines, and pipelines that will carry energy resources from Central Asia and the Caucasus to Europe," Yavuz also said.

The trade volume between Turkey and the Czech Republic was worth 1.2 billion Euros in 2007.
