Even though Turkey's female taekwondo player was unable to overwhelm her South Korean rival in the 57 kilograms category finals, she was still able to win a third silver medal for Turkey.

Female Turkish taekwondo player Azize Tanrıkulu has won the second silver medal for Turkey. Tanrıkulu could come up to the finals by eliminating all her rivals but could not beat her South Korean rival at the final and won the silver medal. Servet Tazegül, male Turkish taekwondo player, won bronze medal for Turkey at 68 kilograms. Turkey now holds six medals in total.
