Arab countries welcome Turkey's mediation for Syria-Israel talks
Head of the Organization for Islamic Conference (OIC) said Arab countries received "very positively" Turkey's mediation in Israeli-Syrian peace talks, expressing hope that the talks would yield a favorable result.

Speaking to the AA in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, which is set to host a meeting of OIC foreign ministers, OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said Muslim countries also extended full support for Turkey's candidacy for a non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council.
Ihsanoglu said foreign ministers' meeting would address issues such as Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan and Cyprus as well as energy crisis, human rights and economic development.
